PSA sanctions 18 more years for Norne FPSO

Equinor has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to extend the service of the Norne FPSO in the Norwegian Sea and associated facilities until the end of 2036.

The Norne field is in production licence 128, around 300 kilometres(186 miles) west of Sandnessjøen.

Production started in 1997, and various tiebacks to the FPSO have followed via subsea templates (Alve, Urd, Skuld, and Marulk).
