More platforms heading to South Pars field
Phase 14 of the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf is currently producing 28 MMcm/d of natural gas, according to news service Shana.
Pars Oil and Gas Company CEO Mohammad Meshkinfam said installation had finished of platform C and production of sour gas had started through the facility.
The plan was to deliver 3 bcf/d from phases 13, 14 and 22-24, he added.
Two Phase 13 platforms have been undergoing load-out from the SADRA yard, and pre-drilling operations for the two structures is close to completion.
In addition, Meshkinfam said one platform was in place at the Phase 22 location with another platform due to be installed in the next few weeks, lifting production from the phase to 500 MMcm/d.
Drilling operations have finished for Phase 24, with the production platform being prepared for load-out from the SADRA yard.
Currently, Iran is producing a total of 580 MMcm/d of sour gas from different phases of South Pars.
