Kistos spuds Dutch North Sea Q11 discovery
Kistos Plc has spudded the Q11-B appraisal well in licence block Q11, Dutch North Sea, about 13 km offshore.
The discovery is being drilled by Borr Drilling’s Prospector-1 jack-up and is anticipated to take a minimum of six weeks to drill and test.
Kistos intends to suspend the well for future use in a Q11-B development which could mimic the Q10-A development, with a normally unmanned installation incorporating renewable power generation and provision for four producing wells.
The estimated net recoverable resources associated with Q11-B field are 67- 155 bcf net.
Kistos is operator with 60% interest.
