Jan De Nul sells jack-up vessel
Jan De Nul Group has sold the jack-up installation vessel Taillevent to an undisclosed buyer.
The sale includes the vessel only, with the crew deployed to its other vessels.
During her time with the company, the 2011-built Taillevent executed offshore wind projects in Europe and Asia.
The company said the decision to sell is a result of the rapid change in future offshore wind component sizes, requiring larger and custom-designed installation vessels during construction.
It has two new vessels under construction. The jack-up vessel Voltaire and the floating installation vessel Les Alizés are expected to be delivered in 2022.
Last year the company acquired the cable-lay vessel Connector from Ocean Yield ASA.
