Insurers reach final settlement with Suez Canal Authority to release Ever Given

On the 5^th July it was announced that the UK P&I Club has agreed a formal solution with the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) to release the Ever Given following months of negotiations since the containership blocked the trade route in March.

Carnegie-Brown proposes central risk appetite for fossil fuels as Lloyd’s targets net zero

Lloyd’s chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown has called for the market to establish a central risk appetite for its total fossil fuel exposures which over time will tighten as the market moves towards net zero.
