Indonesia Energy begins drilling second Kruh block well

Indonesia Energy Corporation Ltd has started drilling the second of three new back-to-back wells on its 63,000-acre Kruh block onshore Sumatra.

The drilling is part of the company’s plan to drill a total of 18 new wells on the block over the next three years.

Drilling of the Kruh-26 well began the 22nd August. Target total depth is 3,400 feet. It is expected to take about 60 days to complete all drilling operations.

Drilling and completion is expected to cost US$1.5 million.

The first well, Kruh-25, discovered oil, the company noted in July. Kruh 25 well was drilled to a depth of 3,368 feet.

The oil-bearing interval in the well was thicker and therefore larger than anticipated, the company said at the time.
