Demand for Russian Gas In France Continues To grow

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, and Isabelle Kocher, CEO of Engie, took place in St Petersburg on the 15^th March.

Through their respective representants, Gazprom and Engie discussed current Russian gas supplies to France.

By the end of 2018, Gazprom increased gas exports to the France on 5.4% compared with 2017 – to 12.9 billion cubic metres.

At the beginning of 2019, growth continues: from the 1^st January to the 14^th March 2019, Gazprom delivered an estimated 2,5 billion cubic metres of gas, an increase of 1,9% per cent against the same period of 2018.

The meeting touched upon the prospects for further sci-tech cooperation and collaboration in the area of culture.

The parties paid particular attention to the ongoing implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project.
