Cortez to install Tembikai gas pipeline offshore Malaysia
Cortez Subsea has recruited more staff in Aberdeen and Kuala Lumpur after securing a contract to lay what the company claims will be Malaysia’s first subsea pipeline featuring mechanical connectors.
The company will manage the programme jointly with Alam Maritim Resources Berhad, with Cortez delivering the engineering, procurement, and operational scope from its office in Kuala Lumpur.
The rigid pipeline system is for Vestigo Petroleum’s Tembikai Non-Associated Gas development.
National Oilwell Varco’s Tuboscope Zap-Lo connectors will be joined to the pipeline via diver-less connections.
