Dutch North Sea well produces from new reservoir
The Petrogas-operated A18-A5 gas well in the Dutch North Sea has been drilled and completed and is now on production.
According to partner RockRose Energy, the well was targeting Pleistocene stacked marine sands (the Q3.2 and Q4 sand units).
Hitherto, production from the A18 field had come from the older Q6A, Q7 and Q8 sand units.
The Q4 reservoir came in as prognosed testing at 12 MMcf/d, with Q3.2 above expectations at 18 MMcf/d.
Currently the well is flowing at a constrained rate of 20 MMcf/d due to infrastructure limits of 75 MMcf/d.
This and workovers on A12 should restore output from the offshore AB area to a facilities-constrained plateau of 135 MMcf/d.
