First condensate departs Ichthys FPSO

INPEX has completed the first shipment of condensate from the Ichthys LNG project offshore northwest Australia.

Later this year, shipment of cargoes will begin from Bladin Point near Darwin in northern Australia, with LNG and LPG exports to follow.

At peak, INPEX expects the facilities to produce:

  • Up to 8.9 MM metric tons/yr (9.81 MM tons) of LNG
  • Up to 1.65 MM metric tons/yr (1.82MM tons) of LPG
  • Up to 100,000 b/d of condensate
