Echo Energy reactivates more wells in Campo Molino, Argentina

Echo Energy Plc has reactivated wells in Campo Molino oil field, onshore Argentina, after being shut in since April 2020.

Three wells, part of Echo’s Santa Cruz Sur assets, have been brought online to join four wells reactivated in August. The three wells are producing in-line with expectations with maximum daily production around 350 b/d (net to Echo).

Liquid production averaged about 290 b/d (net to Echo) in September, representing an almost 50% increase in total daily liquid production at Santa Cruz Sur when compared with the period immediately prior to restoration of production from Campo Molino field just over a month ago.

Prior to shut-in, combined gross production from ten oil wells was about 96 b/d net to Echo, about the same level achieved from the initial four wells brought online after new infrastructure was installed and commissioned.

Production from the seven total reactivated wells continue to indicate that the shut-in period has not had a detrimental impact on reservoir behaviour, with wells delivering the same average monthly rate that had been achieved prior to shut in.

Santa Cruz Sur is a collection of five production concessions in the onshore Austral basin, southern Argentina. The licence portfolio consists of 12 producing oil and gas fields.
