Senator Introduces Bill Amendment in Hopes of Restarting Keystone XL
US Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) has introduced an amendment to the US$1 trillion infrastructure bill which could result in restarting the Keystone Pipeline, her office has announced.
“If Joe Biden cared about infrastructure, he would restart the Keystone XL Pipeline,” said Senator Blackburn. “Instead, Mr Biden killed over 1,000 good-paying jobs by cancelling the pipeline. For him, the infrastructure bill, just like the pipeline, is about appeasing AOC and the left’s woke socialist agenda.”
Senator Blackburn’s amendment would require President Biden to rescind his executive order which cancelled the Keystone XL Pipeline if the project study determines that there will be a loss in jobs and higher energy prices for consumers.
TC Energy confirmed it terminated the project in June after a comprehensive review of its options.
